Lori was my best friend at King. We met the first day of school freshman year on the school bus. I remember how she cried when her idol, John Lennon, was shot. We stayed connected through the years--Lori worked for my brother. As she got more and more ill, my brother Russell took her to as many cancer clinics as he could find including one in Houston. The loss of Lori has affected both myself and my brother greatly and she will always be remembered as a bright, faithful friend.
