David Ninham (1985) - Class Of 1985

David Geoffrey Ninham, age 45 of Bowler, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home. The son of Maurice and Joan (Krakovec) Ninham, David was born on November 10, 1967 in Milwaukee. Growing up, David was an exceptional child who never gave is family any problems. His interest in art started early and at the age of 17 he graduated from Rufus King’s Gifted and Talented with a full scholarship to Layton School of Art. He went on to the University of Michigan where he earned 2 Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Art History. He then received his Master’s Degree in Fine Art at Western Michigan University. David’s artistic talents came in many forms but his favorites were painting and sculpting. He became an accomplished artist who received many accolades for his artwork. He won first prize on a self portrait at a jury exhibition as well as many other awards, gallery exhibits and sales of his paintings from his teen years on. When he wasn’t painting, David enjoyed exercising, running, lifting weights, riding bike, and was known to splurge from time to time on his Aunt Yvonne’s Indian Tacos. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching the games. David was an exceptional, loving, caring and compassionate person whose passing leaves a void in the lives of his parents and everyone who knew him.

David is survived by: his parents; 3 aunts, Carol (George) Mohawk, Janet (John) Hill, Yvonne Creapeau; 5 uncles, Robert Ninham, Kenny (Florence) Ninham, Allen (Violet) Ninham, Craig (Shirley) Ninham, Bruce Ninham; numerous cousins including special cousin, Ronald Creapeau; and many friends including special friend, Mike Rudesil.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church in Morgan Siding with the Rev. Randy Stocksdale officiating. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
